Establishes optional water fluoridation programs for dental health protection in Kentucky.
The bill amends Kentucky law to include the establishment, maintenance, monitoring, and enforcement of optional water fluoridation programs for dental health protection. Participation in these programs is decided by the governing body of a water system regulated by the cabinet. A program in place on the effective date of this Act will continue until its governing body decides to end it. Decisions made by a governing body regarding participation in a water fluoridation program are binding on all water systems supplied by that system.
