Proposing a constitutional amendment to exempt senior residential property from school district property taxes in Kansas.

This bill proposes a constitutional amendment to exempt residential property owned by and serving as the principal residence of a person aged 60 or older from all school district property tax levies. If approved by two-thirds of the Kansas Legislature and the state's voters, the amendment would take effect starting January 1, 2027. The amendment would also allow the legislature to enact additional legislation to administer the exemption.
