Proposing to change Kansas state constitution to require a simple majority for ratifying U.S.

This bill proposes to amend the Kansas state constitution to change the majority vote requirement for passing resolutions to ratify amendments to the U.S. Constitution or to apply for a convention to propose amendments. Currently, a two-thirds majority is needed in both the Kansas Senate and House of Representatives. The amendment would lower this requirement to a simple majority vote in each house. If approved by voters, the change would take effect in November 2026.
