SB9

Kansas SB9 amends land survey reporting requirements and establishes a land survey fee fund.

Kansas SB9 amends land survey reporting requirements by requiring land surveyors to file reference reports with the secretary of the state historical society and the county surveyor for any activity that may alter, remove, damage, or destroy a public land survey corner or related accessory. The bill also mandates that a land surveyor establish reference points for restoration or replacement if a corner or accessory is likely to be altered, removed, damaged, or destroyed. Failure to comply with these filing requirements can result in the suspension or revocation of the land surveyor's license.
