Kansas SB428 mandates that the secretaries for children and families and health and environment execute a memorandum of understanding or data use agreement to facilitate data sharing with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) upon written request. The bill also repeals existing section K.S.A. 39-760 and amends it to establish a system for reporting suspected abuse or fraud in state welfare or medical assistance programs.
