Kansas SB4 mandates that advance voting ballots must be returned by 7:00 p.m. on the day of the election.
Kansas SB4 amends the state's election laws to require that all advance voting ballots be returned by 7:00 p.m. on the day of the election. The bill specifies that ballots received by mail must be postmarked or otherwise indicated by the United States postal service to have been mailed on or before the close of polls on election day. The Secretary of State is tasked with adopting rules and regulations to implement this change, and the existing section K.S.A. 25-1132 is repealed as part of this amendment.
