Kansas SB378 establishes a one-time, nonrefundable vehicle registration property tax credit of $250 for eligible vehicles. This credit applies to buses, motorcycles, passenger vehicles, recreational vehicles, trailers, and trucks. The credit is applied against the property tax levied at the time of vehicle registration. The credit fund is established in the state treasury, and the secretary of revenue certifies and transmits the credit amounts to the director of accounts and reports. The credit is effective for fiscal year 2027, from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
