Kansas SB356 provides immunity from civil liability to federal firearms licensees who return firearms to owners at the end of a firearm hold agreement. This immunity does not apply if the action results from unlawful conduct by the licensee. A firearm hold agreement is defined as a private transaction where a licensee holds a firearm for an agreed period at the owner's request. The act takes effect from July 1, 2026.
