Kansas SB225 requires counties to buy homesteads at appraised values from owners under certain conditions.

Kansas SB225 mandates that counties purchase homesteads at appraised values set by county appraisers if owners apply. Owners must occupy the homestead as their primary residence, have no delinquent property taxes, and own the homestead for at least six months. All co-owners must agree to sell. The county must complete the purchase within 120 days of the application.
