Kansas SB224, known as the preceptor income tax incentive act, establishes an income tax credit for nursing home administrators, registered nurses, and registered dietitians who serve as community-based faculty preceptors. These preceptors provide personalized instruction, training, and supervision to students in adult care homes and medical care facilities. The credit is based on the number of completed hours precepting provided to a student each tax year, with each completed hour entitling the preceptor to a $250 tax credit.
