SB216

Kansas SB216 establishes the Kansas Paid Sick Time Act, setting accrual, usage, and employer obligations for earned paid sick time.

Kansas SB216, the Kansas Paid Sick Time Act, mandates employers to provide employees with earned paid sick time for various health-related and safety-related reasons. Employees accrue one hour of earned paid sick time for every 30 hours worked, with limits based on employer size. Employers must inform employees of their rights and provide written notice of earned paid sick time policies. The act prohibits retaliation against employees for exercising their rights and allows employees to bring civil actions for violations.
