Kansas SB208 prohibits the use of prone restraint on juveniles in custody or being assessed in the juvenile justice system.

Kansas SB208 amends the revised Kansas juvenile justice code to prohibit the use of prone restraint on juveniles in custody at a juvenile detention facility or juvenile correctional facility, or being assessed as part of the juvenile intake and assessment system. Prone restraint refers to manual restraint that places a person in a face-down position. The bill updates the definitions section of the code and repeals the existing section on prone restraint.
