Introduced Text

Kansas SB150 prohibits insurance plans from denying coverage for refills of prescription topical eye medication.

Kansas SB150 amends state insurance laws to ensure that health insurance plans cannot deny coverage for refills of prescription topical eye medication. This applies to all policies, subscriber contracts, or certificates of insurance delivered, renewed, or issued for delivery within or outside of Kansas by or for an individual who resides or is employed in the state. The refill must be requested before the last day of the prescribed dosage period and after at least 75% of the predicted days of use.
