Kansas SB12 requires municipal governing bodies to approve eminent domain for land acquisition for recreational projects.

Kansas SB12 mandates that each member of a municipal governing body whose district includes land to be acquired must approve the use of eminent domain for recreational projects. This includes nature areas, entertainment venues, libraries, and other recreational buildings or grounds. The bill amends K.S.A. 26-201 to reflect this requirement and repeals the existing section.
