SB111

Kansas SB111 prohibits fines and fees from being assessed against a juvenile or their parent, guardian, or custodian in cases under the revised.

Kansas SB111 amends the revised Kansas juvenile justice code to prohibit the assessment of fines, fees, costs, court expenses, reimbursements, or other financial obligations against a juvenile or their parent, guardian, or custodian. The bill applies to all actions under the revised Kansas juvenile justice code and ensures that no financial burden is placed on the juvenile or their family for participation in immediate intervention programs or other court-ordered activities. This change aims to support rehabilitation and reintegration efforts without financial barriers.
