Encourages Kansas school districts to annually designate a Linda Brown and family walk to school day.
The bill encourages Kansas school districts to annually designate a day in August or September as Linda Brown and family walk to school day. This day honors Linda Brown and her parents, Oliver and Leola Brown, who played a pivotal role in the Brown v. Board of Education case that desegregated schools. The day is meant to celebrate the courage of the Brown family and all students and families who participated in the desegregation process.
