Chamber Passed·2/18/26
Introduced Text

Kansas HB2663 modifies at-risk student accountability plans for school districts.

Kansas HB2663 modifies the requirements for student cohorts and achievement goals for school district at-risk accountability plans. The bill requires school districts to identify student cohorts, establish four-year quantitative academic improvement goals, and conduct longitudinal evaluations. Districts must use evidence-based instruction and report on their progress. The state board of education will adjust state aid based on performance. The changes will be implemented as a pilot program in 2024-2025 and 2025-2026, then for all districts starting in 2026-2027.
