Kansas HB2627 amends the state's permissive preference in private employment to include current servicemembers and eligible spouses. A servicemember is defined as a current member in good standing of the United States Army or Air National Guard, or a member of a unit of the reserve forces of the United States military. An eligible spouse is someone married to a servicemember or active duty member of the military service of the United States who resides in and is stationed in Kansas.
