Kansas HB2570 amends the sales tax exemptions for certain purchases by O'Connell children's shelter, inc., an organization exempt from federal income taxation. The bill specifies that sales of tangible personal property and services used for constructing, equipping, reconstructing, maintaining, repairing, enlarging, or furnishing facilities for O'Connell children's shelter, inc. are exempt from sales tax. The contractor must obtain an exemption certificate from the state and furnish it to suppliers.
