Kansas HB2541, known as the Kansas rural business growth program act, establishes a premium tax credit program to incentivize capital investment in rural areas. The Secretary of Commerce administers the program, which provides tax credits to rural investors who make equity investments in rural funds. These funds, in turn, invest in eligible businesses located in rural areas of Kansas. Eligible businesses must have fewer than 250 employees and operate in specific sectors or be located in rural areas.
