Increases penalties for endangering a child and aggravated endangering a child if the child is under six years old.

This bill increases the penalties for endangering a child and aggravated endangering a child if the child is under six years old. Endangering a child is now a severity level 9, person felony if the child is under six years old, and aggravated endangering a child is a severity level 8, person felony if the child is under six years old. Aggravated endangering a child is defined as recklessly causing or permitting a child under six years old to be placed in a situation where the child's life, body, or health is endangered.
