Kansas HB2293 prohibits state agencies from acquiring drone technology components from countries of concern, defined as China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Venezuela. It also prohibits procurement of finished goods or services from foreign principals, unless certain national security agreements are in place. Exceptions allow for acquisitions if no other reasonable means are available and if approved by the secretary of administration. The act does not apply to contracts entered into before July 1, 2025.
