Kansas HB2169 provides distinctive license plates for military veterans and current members in Kansas.

Kansas HB2169 amends state statutes to allow residents to obtain distinctive license plates for their vehicles if they are current members or veterans of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force, or Merchant Marines. The plates can indicate if the owner is a retired member of these services. Owners must submit proof of their service to the director of vehicles. The plates are issued for the same period as other license plates and are not transferable. Renewals are made annually, and a fee of $2 is charged for each plate.
