Kansas HB2122 amends vehicle registration laws for trucks and truck tractors. It eliminates the two-quarter grace period before penalties apply for late quarterly payments. If a truck or truck tractor owner fails to pay two quarterly installments, they may be denied the privilege of paying registration fees quarterly. The bill also increases the threshold for allowing quarterly payments of certain truck and truck tractor annual vehicle registration fees. The act repeals the existing section K.S.A. 8-143a and takes effect upon publication in the statute book.
