Kansas HB2102 allows military students to enroll in advance if their parent will be stationed in the state.
Kansas HB2102 amends the state's education code to allow military students to enroll in advance if their parent or person acting as parent will be stationed at a military installation in Kansas. This provision ensures that such students can attend school in the district where they will reside before they physically move to the state. The bill also corrects federal statutory citations in the interstate compact on educational opportunity for military children.
