HB2096

Providing for transferability of Kansas housing investor tax credits from the year that the credit was originally issued.

Chamber Passed·2/26/25
Introduced Text

Allows transferability of Kansas housing investor tax credits from the year they were originally issued.

The bill amends the Kansas housing investor tax credit to allow for the transferability of credits from the year they were originally issued. Qualified investors can transfer all or a portion of their tax credits to other persons, regardless of whether the transferee is a qualified investor. The transferee can claim the credit against their Kansas tax liability in the same manner as the original transferor. There is no limit on the number of times a credit or any portion can be transferred.
