Disqualifies unemployment benefits for separation from short-term employment with a fixed end date.
This bill amends the unemployment benefits code to disqualify individuals from receiving benefits if they separate from employment with a fixed end date of 180 days or less. The disqualification applies if the individual had a written contract specifying the end date, acknowledged ineligibility for benefits, and the employment did not conclude on federal, state, or national guard duty. The bill applies to employment beginning on or after its effective date.
