Iowa SF331 ensures youth deer hunting licenses are available for purchase during the same period as general licenses, including all established.
Iowa SF331 amends the Code to require the Department of Natural Resources to make youth deer hunting licenses available for purchase during the same period as general deer hunting licenses, including through all established hunting seasons. The bill allows the youth deer hunting license and tag to be used in the season for which the license was issued or in any subsequent season, provided the method of take is authorized by rule for that season. If the tag is filled during one of the seasons, the license will not be valid in subsequent seasons.
