Iowa SF2504 establishes rights for law enforcement officers appealing placement on a Brady-Giglio list, including equitable relief and attorney fees.

Iowa SF2504 provides law enforcement officers with the right to appeal a decision to place them on a Brady-Giglio list. The district court can review the decision, and if the officer prevails, they can receive equitable relief, reasonable attorney fees, expenses, and court costs. The bill applies retroactively to placements on the list and subsequent proceedings occurring on and after July 1, 2021.
