Vetoed·6/2/26

Amends the district-to-community college sharing program to require payment if a student fails a class.

Senate File 2299 amends the district-to-community college sharing program by adding a provision that if a student fails a community college-offered class or a class taught by a community college-employed instructor, the student's parent or guardian, or the student themselves, must pay the school district or accredited nonpublic school an amount equal to what the school paid to the community college. This payment is required upon the request of the school district or accredited nonpublic school through which the student is accessing the program.
