Iowa SF2045 raises the state minimum hourly wage to $15.00 starting July 1, 2026. It also sets the minimum hourly wage for employees working less than 90 days at $14.10. Beginning July 1, 2027, the state minimum hourly wage will increase annually by the same percentage as the cost-of-living increase in federal social security benefits. The wage cannot decrease. Employers are not required to pay the state minimum wage until an employee has worked 90 days.
