This bill revises the definition of "public improvement" for purposes of public construction bidding to exclude equipment acquired by a city utility when the equipment relates to an electric generation or transmission project, existing utility infrastructure, or establishing connections to existing utility infrastructure. It also excludes construction or repair or maintenance work performed for a city utility when the work is related to an electric generation or transmission project.
