Children of child care workers can now qualify for state child care assistance.

This bill makes children of child care workers eligible for the state child care assistance program. To qualify, the child's parent, guardian, or custodian must work at a facility that accepts reimbursement from the program, work a minimum of 32 hours per week, and meet other specified requirements. The parent, guardian, or custodian must also make copayments as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services. The bill requires the department to adopt rules to administer this new eligibility.
