This bill changes the allocation of special nonresident hunting licenses in Iowa.
The bill modifies the allocation of special nonresident hunting licenses in Iowa. Currently, the Department of Natural Resources allocates 50 nonresident deer hunting licenses and 25 nonresident turkey hunting licenses to promote the state and its natural resources. The bill removes these allocations and instead provides up to 75 nonresident deer hunting licenses and 25 nonresident turkey hunting licenses for issuance to nonresidents who have served in the armed forces of the United States on active federal service and were disabled during their military service or are currently serving in.
