This bill establishes a veterans service organization grant program under the administration of the department of veterans affairs. It appropriates $250,000 to the department for deposit in a veterans service organization grant fund. The fund will be used to provide matching grants to veterans service organizations for employing staff who assist veterans with claims. To receive a grant, an organization must demonstrate that it has budgeted and will expend matching funds for each staff position for which grant moneys are sought.
