This bill amends the Code to allow certain nonprofit organizations to designate their hospitals as specialty hospitals. A specialty hospital is defined as a hospital owned and operated by a nonprofit organization, serving individuals 30 years of age and younger, specializing in pediatric rehabilitation and treating children with behavioral health conditions or complex medical needs, with no more than 100 inpatient beds, and providing outpatient services.
