Iowa HF860 prohibits state and local regulations on fuel-powered equipment based on the equipment's fuel source. The bill voids any regulation that restricts possession, storage, transfer, acquisition, operation, maintenance, repair, or reuse of fuel-powered equipment or parts thereof solely because of the fuel source. It also prohibits requiring sellers to maintain an inventory of such equipment based on the fuel source. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2025.
