Iowa HF837 creates the armed forces reserve component scholarship program within the college student aid commission. This program provides scholarships to members of the reserve forces of the United States armed forces who are enrolled as full-time students in eligible institutions. Eligible students can receive scholarships for up to eight semesters of study. Scholarships are limited to the lesser of the student's financial need or 100 percent of the resident tuition and mandatory fees charged by the institution. The commission determines scholarship distribution if funds are insufficient.
