The bill establishes a grant program within the Department of Justice for a nonprofit organization to operate and maintain sexual assault forensic examination centers in Iowa. The Attorney General is required to contract with an eligible nonprofit organization to provide medical forensic services, care, and related trainings to sexual assault survivors, including adults, children, persons with disabilities, and rural Iowans.
