Iowa HF399 modifies library services by the Department of Administrative Services, eliminating certain reporting and planning requirements.
Iowa HF399 removes the requirement for the state librarian to submit a biennial report on Department of Administrative Services (DAS) library services and eliminates the biennial unified plan of service and service delivery for DAS. It also removes DAS's obligation to establish and administer standards for state agency libraries and modifies the Enrich Iowa program to support interlibrary loan programs instead of access plus programs. The bill retains DAS's obligation to prepare reports on its progress in meeting goals from its agency strategic plan and operational plan.
