Prohibits interstate road designation for certain highways and allows implements of husbandry to operate on them.
This bill prohibits the Department of Transportation and the state transportation commission from pursuing an interstate road designation for a segment of highway known as U.S. Highway 65 and State Highway 5, between U.S. Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 69. It allows implements of husbandry to operate on this segment if they were operating there before the segment became part of the interstate road system. The bill also appropriates funds for an alternative highway study to develop a route for implements of husbandry to bypass the segment.
