This bill allows physician assistants and advanced registered nurse practitioners to testify at involuntary commitment hearings on behalf of the licensed physician or mental health professional who examined the respondent. The bill also allows the respondent to waive the presence of the licensed physician or mental health professional if the respondent's attorney reasonably believes the respondent cannot make an adequately considered waiver decision.
