Iowa HF271 establishes the comprehensive transition and postsecondary program scholarship program. The college student aid commission, in consultation with the division of vocational rehabilitation services, will develop and administer the program. Scholarships will be awarded to individuals with intellectual, developmental, or learning disabilities who are at least 18 years old and enrolled in an approved comprehensive transition and postsecondary program. The maximum award is $5,000 per academic year, and applicants must reapply annually. Priority is given to Iowa residents.
