This bill modifies the statewide preschool program for four-year-old children in Iowa by expanding eligibility to include five-year-olds who reach the age of five on or after March 15 but on or before September 15 of the calendar year during which the school year begins. It also adjusts the compulsory attendance age for children enrolled in the preschool program and modifies state funding provisions. The changes apply to school budget years beginning on or after July 1, 2027.
