The bill exempts service performed for employers from unemployment insurance eligibility if the employer certifies that all owners are members of the Old Order Amish church or another recognized Amish congregation and hold sincere religious objections to governmental insurance programs. Employers must certify this to the Department of Workforce Development and obtain written acknowledgments from employees stating they understand they are not eligible for benefits.
