SB0262 amends the definition of "dispense" for purposes of the INSPECT program. It allows the board of pharmacy to disclose prescription drug monitoring program data to a representative of the Indiana department of health and the office of the secretary of family and social services to aid in an active investigation concerning a controlled substance and to prevent overdose events. The bill also provides immunity from civil liability for practitioners who seek and use information from the INSPECT program in good faith. Effective July 1, 2026.
