Allows the city of Gary to hire an appraiser for annual appraisals of residential and commercial properties.

The bill amends the Indiana Code to allow the city of Gary to hire an appraiser to conduct appraisals of residential and commercial properties. The appraisals will assist the city in disposing of its real property. The city must post average values of the appraised properties on its website, which may be used to establish minimum offering prices for property sales. The provision expires on December 31, 2029.
