This bill amends Indiana law to require parties in protective order proceedings to inform the court of any military protective orders in effect between them. It allows military protective orders to be filed as evidence in protective order proceedings and permits courts to issue ex parte protective orders based on such evidence. The bill also revises the types of relief a court may grant in a protective order, including prohibiting respondents from possessing firearms and requiring them to wear GPS tracking devices. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2026.
