Hoosier family leave insurance program provides wage replacement benefits for qualified family leave.

The Hoosier family leave insurance program, established by this bill, offers wage replacement benefits to covered individuals during periods of qualified family leave. Qualified family leave includes leave for the birth or adoption of a child, care for a child, spouse, or parent with a serious health condition, and the individual's own serious health condition. The Department of Workforce Development administers the program, which is funded by contributions from covered individuals and employers.
