Intr Text

Allows toll road users in Indiana to apply for credits on their transponders for future tolls.

Indiana SB0149 introduces a system allowing individuals who live or work in counties with toll roads or tollways to apply for credits on their transponders for future tolls. These credits are equal to 75% of the tolls paid since the last credit application, with a maximum of one application every 30 days. The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles must provide a method for applying for these credits on their website by December 31, 2026. The bill also mandates that all information collected by transponders and regarding qualifying accounts be kept confidential and not subject to disclosure.
